Aerial Arts Classes
Silks, sling, trapeze, lyra/aerial hoop
Want to join the circus? Or just want to get a great workout?
The aerial arts are one of the most fun and rewarding ways to increase strength, flexibility, and the connection between mind and body. The stretches and exercises we do are designed to improve posture and prevent misalignment issues. The classes create a safe and supportive environment, where we learn to appreciate our own innate abilities, identify and challenge our limitations, while having a ton of fun!
Aerial classes are mixed level but designed with complete beginners in mind. Students learn skills close to the ground before trying them at height. Classes are limited to a maximum of 6 students, to allow for the maximum personal attention.
We emphasize injury prevention and technique, while taking measured risks.
Classes are $25 per class, 75 minute classes. Each full session is seven classes - if you sign up for the whole session you pay $150 and get the last class free!

This is yoga class with the best prop imaginable - an aerial sling. Using this low sling we find new grace in familiar yoga poses, assist in improving and deepening challenging balance poses and inversions, even release tissue using the pressure of the fabric. Come to class ready to explore, laugh and learn new things!
Hula Hooping Classes
We all tried hula hooping as kids. If you're like me, you couldn't do it for your life.
Turns out this childhood activity is fantastic exercise! Revisiting hula hoops as adults, we'll learn how to get the hoop going and keep it going to increase muscle tone and stamina. We'll learn proper posture and alignment for both hooping and daily life, lots of fun tricks to impress your friends, and to reconnect with our inner playful children.
Hoops provided, but feel free to bring your own.

I also offer spinning and fire arts classes. These are a sampling of classes that I have offered in the past.
The spinning arts are wonderful forms of physical and mental exercise, so valuable for so many reasons. They teach mind and body to work together as one unified whole. They teach posture, imbue confidence, and increase muscle tone and strength. They allow us to commune with our bodies on a fundamental level, one that is delightfully simple in contrast to today's hectic world.
These classes are not for any one type of person - all people benefit from getting in touch with their bodies and challenging their minds!
Dominique is a professionally trained school teacher and coordinates teachers and classes at the semi-annual fire and spinning arts performers retreat 'Wildfire.'
If you would like to sign up for any of
these classes, or would like to learn something that you don't see offered here, please Contact Dominique.
